…the wind is playfully flipping the palm fronds about. And the water is so invitingly blue and crystal clear. It deserved to be captured. What interested me here was the “desert island” feel, accented by those cheerful waving palm trees. The deceptive appearance of water being shallow because of its clarity; the hinted reflection of cloud on the water in the foreground; the way the water ripples around the island – all these make for an inviting story. (The first person who bought this as a canvas print said they put it in their bedroom because they wanted that calm and serene atmosphere.)
