…how mum and dad skilfully dive and swoop to catch their meal.
We see these energetic colourful birds daily during a large part of the year. We look forward to the sound of their recognisable whistle. They are fascinating as they swoop effortlessly through the air like “gems on wings”.
It is also a delight to see them bathing in dry beach sand. Their beauty moved me to paint them.
